Hosted by Greenwich Country Day School
Where the voices of young leaders become part of the global conversation.
At TigerMUN, we believe that the ideas of young leaders can shape the world. This conference is more than a simulation—it is a forum where thoughtful debate and creative diplomacy lead to outcomes that matter. The resolutions and proposals developed in our committees will be delivered to the United Nations through our contacts there and shared publicly through press coverage and official releases. We hold this responsibility seriously, knowing that teenagers bring insight, vision, and courage to global challenges.

Model UN is an educational simulation where students take on the roles of delegates representing countries in UN-style committees. Delegates engage in debate, negotiation, and resolution drafting on global issues. It’s an immersive experience that sharpens research, public speaking, diplomacy, teamwork, and critical thinking.
Anyone—beginners, experienced participants, school-based delegations, or independent individuals. TigerMUN is inclusive and designed to empower novices just as much as seasoned delegates.
Not at all. TigerMUN welcomes newcomers and provides guidance throughout. Background materials, flexible mentorship, and support from organizers ensure everyone can engage confidently. Experienced delegates can deepen their knowledge and leadership skills.
Yes. Both school teams and independent students are welcome. If you’re attending solo, we’ll help place you in a delegation or merge you with delegates from other schools to ensure full committee participation.
Western business attire is recommended: button-up shirt, tie or blouse, and dress slacks or skirt. Cultural or national dress is also welcome, provided it remains respectful and appropriate for formal assembly.
Students are encouraged to: Read the background guides for their committee. Submit a position paper (1 page per topic, by March 14). Familiarize themselves with basic MUN procedures (available in our Rulebook PDFs). These steps ensure that both first-time and veteran delegates contribute meaningfully.
Email your PDF or DOCX (maximum one page per topic, with your name, school, and country) to SBarhydt26@GCDS.net
Each committee follows a structured schedule, including: Roll call and agenda adoption Formal debate according to speakers' list Caucusing (both moderated and unmoderated) Drafting working papers and resolutions Voting on final resolutions Sessions emphasize collaboration and real policy proposals—those that matter beyond the conference.

Absolutely. Resolutions adopted in committee (excluding the fictional “War of Thrones” crisis) will be formally delivered to contacts at the United Nations and distributed to media.
